MTG Arena has recently experienced a bug that affects the alternate art forms of certain creature cards, causing their power and toughness to be displayed as a strange symbol. This issue was brought to light by a Reddit user and seems to impact the alternate artwork versions of Kaldheim creatures, including those from Kaldheim and the MTG set March of the Machine. However, the bug has had a limited impact as the affected cards are not commonly used in the best MTG Arena decks for Standard, but may be more likely to appear in formats like Historic Brawl. The bug could potentially lead to frustrating gameplay situations, particularly with cards like Esika God of the Tree, Vorinclex Monstrous Raider, and Toski Bearer of Secrets. Additionally, there have been reports of another bug that turns cards into pink rectangles, obscuring them from view. It is unclear if these bugs are part of a larger clue or if they are linked to the upcoming MTG Murders at Karlov Manor set. It is hoped that an update accompanying the release of the new set will resolve these issues.
