White mana ramp and card draw have historically been weak in Magic: The Gathering, but in recent years, Wizards has addressed this issue. In the Commander format, where white needs ramping the most, there are several standout cards. Land Tax ensures consistent land drops and deck filtering. Smothering Tithe takes advantage of opponents’ greed, providing treasures that can lead to victory. Verge Rangers improves deck consistency and provides scrying. Deep Gnome Terramancer punishes opponents’ ramp spells. Boreas Charger brings out multiple lands, helping catch up or recover from missed land drops. Archeomancer’s Map provides lands and allows cheating them into play. Smuggler’s Share combines ramp and card draw. Master of Ceremonies offers a symmetrical effect, but the player benefits more. These cards have improved white’s ramp and card draw capabilities in Magic: The Gathering.
