Wizards of the Coast has announced the release of the Sheldon Menery memorial Secret Lair, consisting of seven MTG cards. The limited edition cards were chosen by Menery before his death in September 2023 and will be sold to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The cards were previewed by the MTG Commander Rules Committee in a Twitch stream, and feature flavor text with quotes and favorite aphorisms from Menery. The cards include Command Tower, Eladamri’s Vineyard, Bene Suprimo, Inkshield, Sheldon Menery, the Commander, Sol Ring, and Teferi’s Protection. The Secret Lair will be available for order from February 26 to March 24, and will not be a limited run product, but instead made to order. Sheldon Menery was a founding member of the Commander Rules Committee and a well-respected member of the Magic the Gathering community who died after a battle with throat cancer.
