The MTG card Locket of Yesterdays has experienced a significant price increase of 336%, rising from $1.10 in February to $4.80 this year. Foil copies of the card are now priced at $18.50, with a sudden spike in value earlier this year. The card is a one mana artifact from the Time Spiral set, functioning as an MTG Mana Ramp card by providing a discount on spells based on the number of cards with the same name in the graveyard. The recent surge in value is attributed to its importance in certain Commander decks that allow players to include multiple copies of specific cards, such as Dragon’s Approach, Persistent Petitioners, Shadowborn Apostle, Rat Colony, Relentless Rats, and the recently released Slime Against Humanity. The synergy between Locket of Yesterdays and these cards has contributed to its increased demand and price. Despite the high cost, it is possible that the price of Locket of Yesterdays may decrease as more packs of the Karlov Manor set are opened.
