The Baldur’s Gate 3 MTG card, Baldur’s Gate Wilderness, will not be legal to play in Eternal formats, according to head designer Mark Rosewater. The oversized dungeon card is designed for an upcoming Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate draft event, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons. Players will draft from MTG sets and build 60-card decks before using the new card, which features 19 locations from Baldur’s Gate 3 with unique abilities. While the card is not legal in Eternal formats, Rosewater encourages casual use if players enjoy it. The event will take place in North American and Canadian game stores from May 17 to 19, and more information can be found on the Wizards Play Network website. For Magic updates, players can follow the MTG release schedule and stay informed about MTG Arena decks and codes.
