Wizards of the Coast is releasing a set of preconstructed Commander decks for Magic: The Gathering featuring characters, scenes, and technology from the Fallout video game franchise. These decks will be available on March 8th and will include new cards as well as reprints with Fallout-style art. The decks will be available as 100-card packages and premium collector boosters, with the latter containing alternate art treatments and flavor reprints.
The decks will feature characters such as Dogmeat, Dr. Madison Li, and The Wise Mothman, each with their own unique strategies and included cards. The Squad keyword from the Warhammer 40,000 Commander decks will return to offer support to Caesar’s deck, while The Wise Mothman will have a new player token playstyle with Rad Counters. The design team spent time tuning this playstyle to ensure it was balanced.
The decks will also include all seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. trait bobblehead cards and Vault stories from the games depicted as Sagas. The decks will feature characters from the Interplay era of the series, but their names have not been revealed yet. The release of these decks is highly anticipated by fans of both Magic: The Gathering and the Fallout franchise.
