Mörk Borg, a tabletop RPG known for its ruleslite system, is set to release an adventure designed by a five-year-old, Assar Nohr, son of the game’s graphic designer Johan Nohr. The adventure, titled The Lair of the Vampire King, is described as “short but deadly” and features monsters, traps, and lava. The adventure will be released at GothCon on March 29 and later on Mörk Borg’s webstore in zine form, with artwork by Assar alongside more adult versions by Johan. Despite its origins, the adventure is not intended for children. The concept of a dungeon crawl designed by a child is reminiscent of Magic: The Gathering’s Extra Life cards, where children’s drawings were reinterpreted by professional artists. This unique project showcases the creativity of children and the support of Assar’s father in getting his first adventure published. For those unfamiliar with Mörk Borg, it is recommended as a tabletop RPG that offers an experience similar to Elden Ring, with reviews available for the game and its spin-offs.
