Ravensburger has announced plans to increase production capacity for Disney Lorcana products due to high demand and products selling out quickly. The Disney trading card game has been plagued by production issues since its release in August, with the second set’s release date set for November 17. Brand manager and co-designer Ryan Miller confirmed in a social media video that production capacity has been drastically increased and packaging changes have been made to increase product security. The current packaging will be replaced with clear ‘wafer seal’ stickers and boxes will come shrink-wrapped by the time the third set is released. The video received positive feedback from fans, with many thanking Miller for the proposed changes. However, some fans expressed frustration with the difficulty of obtaining Lorcana products at retail prices due to scalpers selling them for inflated prices.
