Disney Lorcana is set to release a new adventure-themed set called Into the Inklands, which will introduce location cards, the first new card type since the game launched in September 2023. These location cards will add a new dimension to the game, providing various benefits to players while in play. The set will feature more than 200 new cards, including location cards drawing from Disney’s extensive portfolio of intellectual property.
The set will be released to local hobby shops on February 23rd, 2024, and will be available in mass markets on March 8th. Into the Inklands will also include two preconstructed starter decks and booster packs, as well as other accessories. The release comes after some distribution and printing issues with the previous set, Rise of the Floodborn.
The new set will feature characters from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Treasure Planet, and DuckTales, and is expected to generate excitement among Disney fans and TCG enthusiasts. Despite some challenges, Disney Lorcana’s TCG has been well-received, winning the Best Ongoing Card Game at Dicebreaker’s Tabletop Awards for 2023.
