ReedPop, the owner of events such as PAX Unplugged and gaming websites like Dicebreaker, Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247, and GamesIndustry.biz, is considering selling its digital business. This decision includes the potential sale of Dicebreaker and other gaming websites, as well as their shares in Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry, Hookshot, and other partners. However, UK events like MCM and EGX, as well as the pop-culture brand Popverse, will not be part of the sale and will remain under ReedPop. The company stated that new ownership would provide the best conditions for the growth of the business. As of now, there will be no changes to Dicebreaker’s output, team, or plans. The future of Dicebreaker’s events, such as the Tabletop Awards and Tabletop Creators Summit, will be announced at a later date. ReedPop also runs other events such as New York Comic Con, PAX, Star Wars Celebration, and Magic: The Gathering events. The potential sale is part of ReedPop’s review of its UK business and its decision to focus on the growth of its events and pop-culture brand.
