Another intriguing deck that started 7-0 at the Canadian Regional Championship features 15 Lands in the sideboard and is entirely built around the card Calibrated Blast. The deck includes massive threats that are not intended to be cast, and relies on revealing cards from the top of the library to deal damage. The deck also utilizes a wide range of utility Lands to support its gameplan. While the deck has strengths in certain matchups, its biggest weakness is consistency. Decks with a mix of pressure and early disruption can be problematic, but the presence of Hidden Volcano and Nephalia Academy can help mitigate these weaknesses. Despite not being popular, the deck has seen early success and should be kept under consideration for future Modern play.
