The Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic Set, which was previously released in Japan, has now been confirmed for a Western release on November 17th. The set includes three decks, each featuring one of the iconic starter Pokemon from the original Game Boy games: Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur. In addition to new versions of classic cards, the set also includes six new cards that are making their first appearance. The cards, aside from Energy cards, are not tournament legal but are all foil cards and showcase beloved cards from the Pokemon Trading Game’s history. The set also includes a folding plastic game board with a toolbox case that holds various damage and status markers. The toolbox also functions as a randomizer for coin flips. The Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic Set is priced at $399.99 and has already sold out shortly after being announced. It is expected to become a status symbol among die-hard Pokemon Trading Card Game fans due to its unique nature and scarcity. For those unable to purchase the set, there are valuable Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise Pokemon cards available to collect.
