Legend Story Studios has announced that the 13th Flesh and Blood TCG set, Part the Mistveil, will receive a Japanese language edition, marking the first time the game will be translated. The world premiere of the set will take place in Tokyo in May, with tickets going on sale on February 24. The set will be released on May 31, with events such as the first Japanese Calling event and a Battle Hardened event to follow.
The expansion into Japan will allow Japanese fans to participate in the US Pro Play circuit, which has a $1.5 million prize pool. Details about the set itself are limited, but it will be set in the land of Misteria and feature a new talent. More information will be revealed at Pro Tour LA on March 21.
This move is unique as TCGs typically start in Japan and then expand to the West, making Flesh and Blood’s translation into Japanese a noteworthy development. Additionally, there are expectations for news about classic Japanese TTRPGs being translated into English and the Final Fantasy 14 TTRPG teased by Square Enix last year.
