Wizards of the Coast has made a significant change to the Secret Lair product line, announcing that Secret Lair drops will now be printed as limited-run products in order to increase shipping times to players around the world. The first Secret Lair Superdrop since this change, the Winter 2024 Superdrop, has been released and has seen one of the new Secret Lair drops, The Beauty of the Beasts, sell out. The foil version of this drop has sold out, while the non-foil variant is still available. The drop offers $26 worth of reprints and includes a never-before-seen foil card, Serpent of Yawning Depths. The value of the drop is expected to come from the art, as the reprints may be more expensive than the normal foil variants. Additionally, three other major drops from the Winter 2024 Superdrop have also sold out, including the $300 Everything on the Menu Bundle. It appears that all the Secret Lair drops and bundles are interconnected, depleting the supply of each other. The concern now is the lack of information about supply from Wizards, leading to a fear of missing out (FOMO) among players. Depending on the quality of future Secret Lair drops, the next Superdrop may sell out even faster, prompting a potential change in print volume from Wizards.
