The Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet – Paldean Fates set has reintroduced shiny cards, featuring more than 130 alternate art cards. Shiny Pokémon cards boast different color palettes and unique abilities, and the set contains a total of 254 cards, including 91 main set cards and 154 “secret rare” cards. More than half of the set’s standard cards are reprints from previous expansions, and six hyper rare cards with a new gold raised texture are included. Collectors will be looking for shiny versions of favorite Pokémon, as well as new shiny Tera ex cards. The set will not sell individual booster packs, but instead offer collector tins, sealed boxes, and elite trainer boxes. Pokémon TCG Live players have access to the special expansion, and the in-game battle pass will grant immediate access to a special Lugia VSTAR deck. Completing daily quests through competitive or casual matches will grant crystals that can purchase a new Gardevoir ex deck. The set is available now, with additional releases scheduled for February 9th and February 23rd.
