Ravensburger, the publisher of Disney Lorcana trading card game, has announced plans for 2024, including the release of new beginner-friendly products and a competitive tournament circuit. The company has confirmed the release dates for this year’s four Disney Lorcana sets. One of the new products, ‘Disney Lorcana TCG Gateway’, is designed to provide a learn-to-play experience for new players, with enough cards to construct two basic decks and extras to sub in as players learn more about the game’s mechanics. The product also includes a guide, game board, and character standees, and is set to release on August 9 for $24.99. The remaining sets for 2024 are scheduled for release on various dates throughout the year. Ravensburger also announced the Disney Lorcana Challenge, a competitive circuit in North America and Europe, with regional events leading to North American and European Championships, and a World Championship event in early 2025. Additionally, a new Organized Play event called ‘Set Championships’ is beginning in April, with certain game stores hosting the games and offering exclusive prizes. Ravensburger’s global head of games, Filip Francke, expressed gratitude for the support of Disney Lorcana TCG and emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the game’s community through new products, organized play, and competitive events.
