It allows players to combine creatures to create new abilities. Foretell is a mechanic that allows players to exile a card from their hand for two mana during their turn and cast it for its Foretell cost later in the game. Wither, which deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters, has only appeared in Shadowmoor and Eventide and is unlikely to return in a premier set due to its impact on limited gameplay. Despite differing opinions, these mechanics have the potential to return in various circumstances, such as Commander precons.
