Wizards of the Coast has announced the release of seven new MTG promos to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, themed around the Year of the Dragon. These cards will be available for APAC fans throughout the year, with US fans able to obtain two of the promos from February 9. The remaining promos may or may not be available in the US at a later date. The promos will be part of the APAC League for 2024, with select in-store events in Japan and Standard Showdown events globally also offering the promos. The APAC League is an Asia-exclusive series of Standard games that culminate in a championship playoff. The remaining four promos will be released throughout the year during the season of Standard events, coinciding with the launch of a Standard MTG set. Specific dates for the APAC league and how global fans can obtain the cards have not been mentioned, but additional details will be available later.
