Magic: The Gathering has revealed details about the first premiere set of 2024, Murders at Karlov Manor. The set focuses on a group of investigators trying to solve a high-profile murder in the city of Ravnica. The story involves planeswalker Kaya, who returns to Ravnica and becomes involved in the investigation. The set will introduce a new creature type, Detective, and will feature full-art and showcase treatments for collectors. The set will also include themed commander decks and will come to MTG Arena on February 6th, with a global tabletop launch on February 9th. Prerelease events will run from February 2nd through the 8th, and previews of the set are scheduled to begin on January 16th. Additionally, Wizards of the Coast announced an ARG to promote the set, involving thirteen different puzzles that will lead players towards a final solution revealing “the future of Magic: the Gathering.”
