The United States Postal Service has announced the release of a set of Dungeons and Dragons stamps in honor of the game’s 50th anniversary. The ten stamps feature various characters, monsters, and gods from the DnD universe and were designed by USPS art director Greg Breeding. Some of the art is recognizable from DnD books, while other pieces are more obscure, such as the image of the DnD dragon god Tiamat, which comes from a Magic: The Gathering card. The stamps will be available for purchase from the USPS online shop and possibly its Amazon store in 2024, although the exact release date and prices are not yet known. The announcement of the stamps is part of the larger celebration of the 50th anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons, which will also include the release of a new version of the Player’s Handbook and a history book about the game’s origins. Additionally, there are hints that upcoming DnD releases will focus on high-level play, with monsters and encounters at challenge rating 20 or higher.
