The Adventure Time Card Wars Ultimate Edition is being crowdfunded on Kickstarter in honor of the game’s 10th anniversary. The game, based on the Adventure Time episode “Card Wars”, was created by Matt Hyra and Cory Jones and has been popular among tabletop players and fans of the animated series. The Ultimate Edition includes all of the supplemental packs and expansions released over the years, weighing up to 16 pounds and costing a significant amount to ship outside the US. The game involves two players facing off in a head-to-head match with a deck of 40 cards and a Hero, using action points to play cards and reduce their opponent’s hit points to zero. The Kickstarter campaign has already exceeded its original goal and is expected to be in production until mid-2024, with packages shipping to backers by the end of August or beginning of September. Additionally, a tabletop RPG based on Adventure Time is also in development, with new information suggesting it may be based on the popular 5th Edition rules of Dungeons & Dragons.
