The January 2024 expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Scarlet & Violet – Paldean Fates, will reintroduce shiny Pokémon with 240 new cards, 130 of which will feature the alternate shiny coloration. The expansion will focus on Pokémon found within the Paldean region and will be distributed through packaged products such as elite trainer boxes, sticker collections, and mini tins. The set will include 11 Shiny Pokémon ex, 7 Pokémon ex with normal rules, and 3 Tera Pokémon ex. Additionally, there will be new illustration cards featuring shiny Pokémon and special illustration cards for shiny Pokémon ex or Supporter cards. The expansion will also introduce Great Tusk and Iron Treads, joining the Ancient and Future Pokémon cards from the previous expansion. The Pokémon TCG Live app will release the expansion on January 25th, with a wider paper release in hobby shops and retailers the following day. The expansion can be collected through bundles purchased in the in-game shop using premium currency crystals. Overall, the expansion will offer a variety of new cards and shiny Pokémon to enhance the gameplay experience for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
