The 2023-24 Panini Origins Basketball cards are set to return for its fifth season, featuring league stars and the latest NBA rookie class. Hobby boxes will include one autograph and one additional hit, while H2 boxes will have exclusive parallels and inserts. The base set of the cards will have multiple parallels, including new Tessellated and Neon Stripes versions in the Hobby format, and Cosmos only found in H2 boxes. There will also be Base Variation short prints featuring select veterans and rookies. Inserts will be included in each box, with one insert per Hobby box and six per H2 box. Returning lines include Dawn, Originals, and Roots of Greatness, while Hobby boxes will have exclusive inserts such as Cosmic Storm and Tiger Eyes. H2-exclusive inserts include Big Bang, Catapults, Euphoria, Nucleus, Snake Eyes, and Taking the Leap. The hits in the set will include the Rookie Jersey Autographs series with debuting Pink parallels, as well as Elevation Signatures, Rookie Autographs, and Universal Autographs. There will also be book cards available via Rookie Auto Booklet Patch and Six Star Signatures. The release date for the cards is set for January 31, 2024. Hobby boxes will contain 7 cards per pack, 1 pack per box, and 12 boxes per case, while H2 boxes will contain 6 cards per pack, 6 packs per box, and 20 boxes per case.
